Father

F - is for FORTRESS.  He is a stabilizing force in our lives.

A - is for ALWAYS.  A father’s love never fails.

T - is for TEACHER.  Father’s teach the ways of the world and God.

H - is for HERO.  His children admire and respect him.

E - is for EXCEL.  He seems to get better and better at being a Dad.

R - is for RELIABLE.  His children depend on him and trust him.

A dad provides and cares for his family and works hard to make sure they have what they need.  He spends time teaching his children how to be successful in this life and more importantly the ways of God. 

Yesterday at Wal Mart, I walked by the greeting card section and beheld many people looking at Father’s Day cards.  It saddened me as I remembered that there was no need for me to by a card for my dad as he passed away in 2003.  Don’t take your dad for granted.  Take time to hug him and let him know you love him today and everyday while you can.  If your dad is already gone, take time to remember the good memories of the one who loved you more than life itself.
